Working language
The primary conference language of the Saint Petersburg edition of WIAD is Russian. But we'll switch it to English or run a dedicated English-speaking track if any English-speaking guests or speakers arrive :)
E-visas and visa-free entrance to Russia
Starting from October 1st, 2019 nationals of 53 countries, including most of EU/EEC, Turkey, China, India etc. may enter Saint Petersburg and surrounding Leningrad region with free-of-charge electronic visa. This visa can be obtained via the Consular department web site: https://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/spb_home_en.html . Tourist visa should work well for attending a non-commercial conference. Nationals of Israel, Hong Kong, SAR, South Korea, most countries of South America and several other countries may enter Russia visa-free.
