Dr. Iyad Abu doush

Dr.Iyad Abu Doush is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at the American University of Kuwait. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Computer Science Department at New Mexico State University / USA in 2009. Dr. Abu Doush completed his B.Sc. in computer science from Yarmouk University-Jordan and his M.Sc. in Computer Science and Information Systems from Yarmouk University-Jordan. Dr. Abu Doush completed the work on four funded research projects in the area of accessibility from different agencies including USAID, Microsoft, King Abdullah II Design & Development Bureau, Deanship of Research & Graduate Studies at Yarmouk University, and Jordanian Scientific Research Support Fund. The last project establishes the first accessible computer lab in the northern part of Jordan at Yarmouk University. Dr. Abu doush worked as an invited expert in World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative (W3C-WAI). In addition, he was a review committee member for the Arabic translation of the Web Contents Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG), and currently, he is part of the review committee for the Arabic translation of the Web Contents Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG). Dr. Abu Doush has published more than 60 articles in international journals and conferences. Dr. Abu Doush was selected to serve as a visiting researcher in the universities of the USA, Malaysia, and Lithuania. His research interests include  Accessibility, Human-Computer Interaction, Machine Learning, and Optimization Algorithms.
