John is the President and a Principal Consultant at Crux Collaborative a Minneapolis based User Experience Consulting company that specializes in transactional and behind the login applications for regulated industries. John loves to collaborate with his team and clients to create new approaches to very complex systems and web delivered applications. His primary areas of focus are User Experience Design and User Research.
John’s career in interactive media design began in 1995, when he was hired to play video games and then design CD-ROMs to teach others how to win the games. His career then transitioned into business-focused websites and applications, and has worked with many Fortune 500 companies and large not for profit organizations. John believes there is a simple and streamlined approach for every complex problem. He approaches each project with the user’s goals in mind first in order to create a solution that is effective and meets the needs of his client’s business.
John has served on the board of directors for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) since 2013.
