With a passion for usability, visual consistency, and strategic insights, Kim Harris has worked as a user-centered design advocate for the past 10+ years, honing a natural gift for introducing simplicity to the complex. Her portfolio spans a wide variety of mediums including mobile applications, responsive websites, data visualization, and product & service design. As a former IT support engineer and front-end developer, she brings with her a craftsmanship of the service experience, an in-depth knowledge of interface methodologies and standards, and an understanding of the positive impact of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Since 2013, Kim has independently partnered with local startups, digital agencies, and non-profit organizations as an experience design consultant and pushed for innovative solutions that combine both form and function. With her most involved client, she facilitated collaborative design processes, oversaw quality of the digital team’s creative output across multiple projects, implemented solutions with their respective clients, and provided mentorship to continually push the agency's digital discipline to new levels.
In 2014, Kim was introduced to the Director of User Experience at projekt202, a consulting firm reputable for their methods of applying design research to the development of mobile, web, and workplace software. She joined their team in 2015 as a Senior UX Designer, quickly gaining the opportunity to explore her potential and push the edges of her creative boundaries.
In addition to designing groundbreaking enterprise solutions, she remains highly active in both the internal business growth of projekt202 and the local UX community. She’s a frequent presenter at various technology meetups, continues to mentor fellow junior designers, and serves as an active promoter of the projekt202 methodology.
