This presentation will focus on how the development of the Sherlock Big Data Knowledge Discovery and Analytics tool leveraged Information Architecture (IA) methods in the curation of semi-structured and unstructured cancer data. This presentation will show how IA was applied to curate cancer data for the ML algorithm of the Sherlock Cancer Research tool to enable the extraction of knowledge from semi-structured and unstructured data. Curation is important because of the growth of the variety of sources used in Big Data. Selecting your data from a variety of well curated sources will add richness to the knowledge extracted from the use of AI/ML tools.
