How to adapt research methods and content to the context of use

Presented by:

Clementina Gentile

Working as a service designer for public institutions, I often hear that the application of digital solutions that we are trying to conceptualise and validate is meant to be used by 'citizens'. But how much does the context of use influence the features and the data model of the same application or website? And how do you conduct user research that is context-appropriate?
In this talk, Clementina shows 2 case studies where 2 different products (a website about social and medical services and an application using generative AI to simplify complex governmental texts) were rethought after context-specific user research.
