Designing for Difference
Two longer talks surrounding this year's theme, Design for Difference
- Chidi Afulezi - Co-Founder, aKoma Media
- "Cooking For Multi-Palleted Users — Why Product Discovery Is Everyday"
- Building products that users love is always the goal and aspiration of every design person and product team. There are a plethora of experiences and products that have endeared themselves into millions of users’ lives in one market that find no love in other markets, especially across borders. In this talk, Chidi Alfulezi draws on his experience designing and building products in the US and on the African continent to discuss why product discovery has to be an evergreen activity for designers and product teams. As he currently works on products on the African continent, he will get into how discovery is your best friend in a region with 54 countries, and how building a successful product in a market like the US does not translate to success in other markets without the empathy and insights that continuous and sustained discovery bring to the table.
