The World IA Day was created to celebrate Information Architecture (IA) and to empower local leaders to keep growing and sharing within their communities.

In 2020, more than anything, we want to reinforce this celebration – highlighting how IA is Elemental (or integral) to having the best results.

How IA ties and binds different ideas involved, the end users, the stakeholders, the designers and the developers. How IA is often the bridge element between them all and tying together through understanding. How IA filters the noise for a better collaboration for a growing community.

Use information architecture for more than presenting information. Use IA to help design services. In this session, content designer Anita will present how she used IA principles to work with the San Francisco Office of Cannabis to make sense of what their permitting process could be. Using IA, we can do more than create abstract meaning. We can create a service or experience that is truly user-centered.

This workshop is an introductory course in designing and developing augmented reality effects. In this session, you will learn the basics of AR, and build and ship your very own AR effect that commemorates World IA day! Come prepared with your laptop. No technical experience required!
