Auldyn Matthews has 5+ years of researching and designing user experiences to make a more compassionate world. Currently she works at Elsevier, a medical publishing and technology company, as a Senior User Experience Designer improving the patient education experience. Her passion lies in facilitating design thinking workshops, crafting journey maps, and bridging the gap between research and design. In the past she worked with Ellucian, a higher education software company, and Red Privet, LLC improving the UX of websites, software, and mobile applications. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 with a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction and Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics, Psychology, and Spanish in 2012 from Ohio University. When she's not conducting another contextual inquiry, she's at home in Manayunk with her husband and daughter crafting new cosplay costumes.
