
Giulia Piazza graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto (FAUP) with a design thesis exploring the reuse of the historical city. She has collaborated with architectural firms in Portugal and Italy, working on large-scale public and private projects.
In 2023, she completed a second-level master’s degree in Gender-Sensitive Cities at the University of Florence, where she deepened her expertise in urban planning and policies related to intersectional inclusion and participatory processes, with a focus on public spaces and eco-feminist issues.
She co-founded the architectural practice piazzarchitettura, which has gained recognition in international competitions and secured prestigious public commissions. Her work reflects a strong interest in ecological construction, emphasising the use of natural materials and the syntropic connection between built environments and landscapes.
